Redmi Note 7S, like its sibling models–Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro, will be sold through Flipkart in the country. The e-retailer has set up a teaser page on its app for the upcoming smartphone, enabling consumers to register when the phone is available for purchase. A few days ago, Xiaomi began teasing the arrival of the Redmi Note 7S as its new 48-megapixel smartphone, and the company has since revealed that the phone will be unveiled on May 20. Earlier today on Twitter, Xiaomi India Chief Manu Kumar Jain noted that the Redmi Note 7S will be given a red color variant.
The upcoming Redmi Note 7S smartphone will be available on its websites and apps as per a teaser page set up by Flipkart when it is released. Right now, the teaser is only visible on the app of the e-retailer. Besides Flipkart, the phone will most likely be available through the country’s Mi.com, Mi Home stores, Mi Studio outlets, and My offline partner stores.
Flipkart hasn’t revealed exactly when the Redmi Note 7S will go on sale in the country, but on May 20, when Xiaomi officially unveils the smartphone, we expect to get all the details about the phone as well as its pricing and availability. Xiaomi also set up a phone teaser page on its own website, showing a number of pictures taken by Redmi Note 7S. As you can expect, the pictures look great, and the camera watermark included on the phone confirms that there will be a dual camera setup on the back of the upcoming Redmi Note7S.
Until now, according to the various teasers shared by Xiaomi India, Redmi Note 7S will feature a 48-megapixel primary shooter as part of a dual camera setup, and Red will be one of the phone’s color options. The Red variant was revealed on Twitter by Xiaomi India Chief Manu Kumar Jain. In addition, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the back and most likely on the front will also be included on the phone.
It is also likely that the Redmi Note 7S will share its design with the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro phones, taking into account the teaser’s phone outline below. It’s quite likely that we might just end up in India with the Redmi Note 7 Chinese variant as Redmi Note 7S.
To recall, Redmi Note 7’s Chinese variant sports a full-HD+ 6.3-inch screen with a dewdrop notch and aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The phone is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, coupled with up to 6 GB RAM and 4,000mAh battery supported by Quick Charge 4. Other phone specifications include USB Type-C, dual-SIM, 4 G LTE, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and 5.0 Bluetooth support.
On the front of the image, the Redmi Note 7 China variant has a dual camera setup with a primary sensor of 48 megapixels and a secondary sensor of 5 megapixels. Also on board is a 13-megapixel front shooter.
